TuckalongCase study
The brief
Senders post parcels. Travellers with spare luggage space carry them. Payment is held in escrow until the sender confirms delivery. The platform is a connector, not a carrier.
Decisions worth explaining
Escrow as the trust mechanism
Payment is held, auto-releases seven days after delivery is marked, and either side can open a dispute before it does. That combination is what lets two strangers do business.
Fees frozen per match
The service fee is snapshotted onto each match when it is agreed, so a later price change never reprices an existing deal.
Legal wording as a feature
Every screen says the platform is a connector, not a carrier, and that parcels are not insured, so expectations are set before any money moves.
